We had 2 free-range Berkshire pigs, they enjoyed free range, fresh air and even had a small ‘pond’ to cool down.
Berkshire Heritage Breed Pork: The Berkshire originated from Berkshire County in the United Kingdom over 300 years ago. They were specially bred for the King of England for his own personal meat supply. The meat color is pink, not white & its flavor is distinctive with an unparalleled juiciest and is incredibly delicious, renowned for its richness, texture, marbling, tenderness and overall depth of flavor. It is thought by many to be the Kobe beef of pork.
Ethically raised the old fashioned way, OUTSIDE, not in a barn or small pen, with room to roam & wallow. They are healthy and strong, receiving no antibiotics, medications or hormones. Feed is farm fresh (no spray) fruits & vegetables and high protein hog feed.
Pork is professionally processed, packaged on Government inspected facility.
